Puj Tub Review #1

I was recently chosen as a tester for the Puj Tub...I love it, such a cool product and cool concept. The idea behind the tub is that it is small, portable, easy to use, and soft. It is a mom invented product that is definitely very smart.

From their website:
Bathing an infant has never been this easy!

The Puj Tub was designed to make bath time quick and easy. The tubs revolutionary design allows you to bathe your infant in any standard bathroom sink.

  • No more leaning over the bathtub stressing your knees, neck, and back.
  • No more lining the bathroom sink with sponges and wet towels
  • No more wondering where you are going to store that awkward plastic bathtub you used to use.

Patent Pending design allows for easy set up, bathing, clean-up, and storage.

The Puj Tub simplifies your job as a parent allowing you more time with your precious bundle of joy!

I wish that I had received this a bit earlier in my little guys life, but he has still enjoyed it. The tub is great but we have a very outdated bathroom and the sink is pretty tiny so it makes the tub seem tinier and my 3 month old weighs a whopping 16lbs so he seems too big for it. It is so easy to set up, and cradles him very well, but probably my favorite part is the storage and clean up- effortless and minimal! Here's a pic of our little bundle in the tub, we opted for modesty...notice the placement of the Puj logo.

I am passing it along to my sister-in-law who has a little guy that is 8 weeks younger and they have a bigger bathroom sink- we'll keep you informed and let you know how that goes!

Check out the Puj Tub for yourself at the new web site exclusively for baby bath tubs!

Holiday Extravaganza

I recently had the pleasure of attending the wonderful Chester County Moms Holiday Extravaganza. It was such a great evening and for a wonderful cause. It was also a who's who of Philadelphia area bloggers/business owners. Catching up with Lara of Little Gal Designs, Colleen of Classy Mommy, KC of Diaper Bag Wrangler, and Jo-Lynne of Musings of a Housewife, just to name a few.
Sarah and Shannon of Chester County Moms were wonderful hostesses and a good time was had by all. Rumor has it that this small group of women brought in over 500 toys for Toys for Tots. The Toy Guy presented the must have toys that he was giving away for the great raffle and he was oh so entertaining...the local Toys for Tots brought a few "men in uniform" to walk the red carpet and show us the toys.

Thanks Sarah and Shannon, I am looking forward to next years event already!

Fun idea for a bookshelf

Tree Bookshelf by Shawn Soh

Who says books belong on rectangular book shelves? This tree bookshelf is beautiful by itself or stacked with books where by designer, Shawn Soh, states “a tree becomes a book becomes a tree”. Love it, but note – we don’t know how to order one. See more pictures and send inquiries to the designer’swebsite.

Mom of the Week

Caroline Ritter, PA

As the youngest of three girls, my first room was my mothers’ sewing room. At age 12 I was ready and my mother taught me to sew, it soon became my passion.

I graduated from Philadelphia’s Moore College of Art and Design and received honors from Saks Fifth Avenue, Women’s Wear Daily and others. I moved on to design teams with Chado- Ralph Rucci, Lilly Pulitzer, Anthropologie, and J Crew- all natural stepping stones to my formation of ‘Lina Bean. After many years working for others, the birth of my first child was the perfect time for me to launch my own line. What better than my childhood nickname for my children’s accessories company...’Lina Bean was born in spring of ‘07.

Since ‘Lina Bean’s launch, I have been enjoying the opportunity to raise my son, stay home, and have a challenging creative outlet in my business. My son and business are a good balance and I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to have both in my life. As a designer turned mom I strive to have each piece of my line functional, practical and polished. My second son is due at the end of September and I am looking forward to the new excitement that this will add to our lives.

Inspiration

I have been trying to figure out what we were going to put on the walls in the newest addition's room and I think I have found it (or rather, them).

They will go perfectly with the brown and white feeling we have in the room. I'll add shots of his room once it is more complete.

Eensies

I came across this blog on Daily Candy this morning and just had to share. Eensies is a blog about well...they describe it best- learning outside of the classroom. It has simple concepts and is very easy to digest. With our 3 year old off to preschool this year I think I will be on this site often.

Happy learning...
